Some families come to Harmony looking for a full service adoption agency, some families have been matched with a prospective birth family or already have the child to be adopted in the home and only need an adoptive home study. The home study process may feel complicated and overwhelming. A home study is a thorough evaluation of your capacity to parent an adopted or foster child. The process includes gathering documents such as medical statements, birth certificates, marriage certificates, letters from employers, criminal background checks, personal references and other documents, interviews and a home inspection.
